A literature lover and native of Severna Park, Melody has longed for a community bookstore! While raising a family, Melody completed an undergraduate degree in English Literature/Non-Fiction Writing and a M.S. in Education-Literacy. She is a certified secondary English teacher and K-12 Reading Specialist. After teaching in the public school system, Melody began as an adjunct at the local community colleges. She is currently an adjunct instructor of English at the United States Naval Academy where she happly instructs midshipman in Plebe level English. When COVID-19 brought about new challenges for local families Melody was prompted to jump into action. She has been fascilitating a local pod of 2nd graders and hosting tween book clubs weekly. The bookstore and literacy lab is a labor of love and we hope everyone loves it like we do!
